Similarly, Shristi is implementing a model Watershed Conservation and Development project in collaboration with ICRISAT (International Crops Research Institute in Semi-Arid Tropics) and with financial support from Ministry of Agriculture (now MORD), Government of India covering an area of 1600 Hectares at Khunta Community Development Block of Mayurbhanj district.. A team of four persons headed by a senior Project Director is based at Khunta, Mayurbhanj for implementing the project with guidance from the organization head who is having INRM project implementation experience in Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj. The project has been running for last four years.
The third location of INRM initiative is at Bhandaripokhari Community Development block of Bhadrak district. This is an action research project for more frequently flood affected areas or villages with support from CEE-UNDP-GEF small grants. Four team members have been working in the area with guidance from Senior Programme Director. The first phase of the project has been over and a second project proposal along similar lines or approach is prepared and submitted to CEE. The fourth location of the organization is Dhenkanal where the main activities are community institution building and Cashew plantation with financial and technical guidance support from DCCD, Kochi and O.U.A.T. Cashew plantation is also going on in Keonjhar.
Besides also organize various training and Capacity building programmes with support from Directorate of Cashew and Cocoa development, Odisha University of Agriculture technology, Indian Council for Agricultural Research, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Goa and Mangalore who often act as knowledge facilitators in these capacity building related activities. The advisory board of Shristi consists of experienced development professionals, academicians and specialists in their field of work. From time to time they act as sounding board to the strategy of the organization for reaching to the poor and needy.
